im 13 years old and my parents dont think about prepareing for the SHTF and more than likely economical collapse of the us govt and the world.. so seriously someone help me.. i been obsessed with this subject for a week or two and i really need to prepare for this shit tell me if its legal for 13 yr olds to buy guns offline and if it would be legal to shoot looters if they try to take my stuff..

I am pretty sure that it is illegal in almost every, if not every state, for a thirteen-year-old to buy a gun. Tough luck man.
Unfortunately you can’t buy a gun yet. You’ve been obsessed for a week or two! Ha. Well tell your parents it’s real. If you know someone with a gun for sale, buy it. Stock up on storable food. Be glad that you live in America.
you can buy one of those non-gun guns. a bit dodgy but its legal (only due to loophole). a replica or a gun made prior to 1899 is considered an antique and therefore not a firearm. those guns not being firearms are exempted from all the regulations of firearms, such as the 18/21 years age requirement, not felon, etc. You can buy a blackpowder 1861 Army revolver or one of those double barrel Howdahs for $400. or a replica kit gun ($50) , or a pre-1899 rifle/shotgun (you can tell if its not a when it doesn’t need to ship to an FFL) for about $250-$500.
ammo will be an issue, as you cannot buy blackpowder if you’re a minor. not problem, blackpowder can be made from potassium nitrate, sulfur and charcoal. its not illegal to make blackpowder, just don’t make it in large qualities. (its not safe) I believe the limit for anyone to have at any time is 50 pounds.
as for bullets I’m not sure whether you need to be 18 or not, if you run into problems you can always have an adult buy it for you or cast your own. some pre-1899 non-FFL guns may shoot modern cartridges, its is illegal for you to buy those underage or possess any. could be a legal issue.
but you need to start with food and water first, there’s no point of having a gun if there’s nothing to protect.
shooting looters would vary by local laws. some places say its ok to shoot someone for trespassing, in california its murder (unless in life threatening circumstances).
alternatively to buying a gun can make your own if you feel your up to the challenge. I made my own when I was 14. And that wasn’t my first one either, my first one was a marble gun that shot marbles using blackpowder. the marble gun was made of 5/8″ copper pipe parts soldered together. one medium sized glass marble and about 1/2 tablespoon BP. ignition was via 9V battery and some steel wool. it was crude and unreliable.
A few years later I wanted a “real” gun and I took a few technologies for homemade muskets/zip guns and designed my own. I invented a cartridge that I named .787 Blackpowder Express, its a paper cartridge like real ammunition, contains a projectile load, a charge of powder and a primer of some kind. end result was a cartridge about 5 inches long and can propel a 3.5 oz load at up to 1275 fps (mathematical calculation) in a 5 lb homemade gun, the recoil was unbelievable. still the most powerful gun I’ve ever had. not even my real guns can match up to it. (5530 ft-lb)
